Cookies policy
1. General Information
On the www.novicap.com website we use our own and third-party cookies to improve our services, personalise the website, facilitate browsing by our Users, provide information on our services according to the request made by Users, and measure and compile statistics on the use of our services.
Below we provide our Users with general information about what cookies are, what types of cookies exist, who is responsible for the data collected through cookies and how to delete them.
2. What are cookies?
Cookies are files, text or image archives that are stored or executed in the User’s browser to record the activity of their browser when the User accesses an online service through websites such as Novicap.
Cookies allow, among other things, store and retrieve information about the User, their browser, their devices and User activity in the service to which it connects.
Additionally, cookies are associated with a code that identifies the device or browser used on each visit to the web, so they do not provide references that allow other personal data of the User.
3. What types of cookies exist?
Users browsing the Site may encounter cookies installed directly from a domain, or cookies installed from domains or equipment managed by third parties in accordance with the information detailed in the following section:
According to their purpose
Below are the categories of cookies that may be installed on the User’s device according to their purpose and taking into consideration that, according to the information in the table on each cookie in particular, such cookies may be installed by the owner of the Site or by third parties:
- Technical cookies. These cookies allow the User to browse the Site and use the different options or services that exist on it, including those used to enable the management and operation of the Site and to enable its functions and services. These cookies will be used, for example, to control traffic and data communication, identify the session, access restricted areas, remember the elements that make up an order, carry out the purchase process of an order, manage payment, control fraud linked to the security of the service, make the application for registration or participation in an event, count visits for the purpose of invoicing software licenses with which the Site operates, use security elements during browsing, store content for the broadcasting of videos or sound, enable dynamic content (for example, animated loading of text or images) or share content via social media.
Also belonging to this category, due to their technical nature and provided that they are not used for other non-exempt purposes, are those cookies that allow the management, in the most efficient way possible, of the advertising spaces that, as another element of the design or “layout” of the service offered to the User, have been included in the Site, application or platform based on criteria such as the content edited, without collecting information from Users for other purposes, such as personalizing this advertising content or other content.
- Preference or personalisation cookies. These cookies allow information to be remembered so that the User can access the service with certain characteristics that may differentiate their experience from other Users’, such as, for example, the language, the number of results to be displayed when the User makes a search, the appearance or content of the service depending on the type of browser through which the User accesses the service or the region from which the User accesses the service, etc.
However, if it is the User himself who chooses these characteristics (for example, if he selects the language of a website by clicking on the icon of the flag of the related country), and only for this purpose, it will be considered as a service expressly requested by the User and he will not be asked to consent to the installation. These cookies also make it possible to personalise the appearance or content of the service according to the type of browser or your access to and browsing of the website.
- Analysis or measurement cookies: These are cookies that, processed by Novicap or third parties, allow the monitoring and analysis of the behaviour and number of Users of the Site, including the quantification of the impact of advertisements. The information collected through this type of cookies is used in the statistical measurement of the Site’s activity (such as, for example, knowing which pages are the most or least visited or how visitors browse the site), in order to make improvements based on the analysis of browsing and data on the way Users use the service. We also use these cookies for analytical modelling, in accordance with our Data Protection Disclosures.
- Behavioural advertising cookies: These are those that, processed by Novicap or third parties, store information on the model and operating system of the terminal equipment (for example, a computer, mobile phone or tablet from which the User connects to the Site), and the behaviour of the Users obtained through the continuous observation of their browsing habits on the Internet, which allows a specific profile to be developed in order to display advertising based on this. However, the decision to display targeted advertising based on the development of such profiles in no case involves the adoption of automated individual decisions with legal effects for the User, or that significantly affect him/her in a similar way, by Novicap. Similar technologies may also be used for this purpose, such as pixels, which complement the information obtained by certain cookies of this type.
Refusal to use behavioural advertising cookies will prevent Novicap from collecting information about the User’s browsing habits and displaying personalised advertising of interest to the User based on that information.
- User identifier sharing cookies: These cookies allow us to share the User’s unique identifier with our analytical and advertising cookie partners so that they can interact with the User in accordance with their cookie policies and in the event that the User has consented to the installation of their cookies.
Depending on the entity managing them
- First-party cookies: are those sent to the User’s terminal equipment from a computer or domain managed by the owner of the Site and from which the service requested by the User is provided.
- Third-party cookies: those sent to the User’s terminal equipment from a computer or domain that is not managed by the owner of the Site, but by another entity that processes the data obtained through the cookies.
According to the period of time they remain active
- Session cookies: these are designed to collect and store data while the User accesses a Site. These cookies are not stored in the User’s terminal when the session expires or when the browser is closed.
- Persistent cookies: these are cookies in which the data remains stored in the User’s terminal when the User leaves the Site and can be accessed and processed for a period defined by the party in charge of the cookie, which can range from a few minutes to several years.
